You probably know of Terry Cavanagh. The indie-mastermind behind VVVVVV, Don’t Look Back, Pathways, Self-Destruct, and about 20 others that you should go check out right now. But this isn’t about him as much as it is about his new blog, Free Indie Games, dedicated to bringing you freeware games he’s interested in.
And based on his awesome game-design instincts, mad indie-cred, and the fact that all of them are free, you should be interested in them too.
It all started with some discussions on Twitter over how IndieGames.com has moved their focus away from freeware stuff recently, and how there needed to be a site to showcase their work, even if it was just a screenshot, simple description, and some download links. And so that’s just what he did.
So, you’re too lazy to go read it for yourself and want me to sum it up? Well, as of writing this, his “highly recommended” games are:
- Meinstein 3D by Glen Forrester
- Me Against The Mutants by Rat King
- Wither by Rastek
- Game Title: Lost Levels by Michael Brough
- Dys4ia by Auntie Pixelante
