You probably know of Terry Cavanagh. The indie-mastermind behind VVVVVV, Don’t Look Back, Pathways, Self-Destruct, and about 20 others that you should go check out right now. But this isn’t about him as much as it is about his new blog, Free Indie Games, dedicated to bringing you freeware games he’s interested in.

And based on his awesome game-design instincts, mad indie-cred, and the fact that all of them are free, you should be interested in them too.

It all started with some discussions on Twitter over how IndieGames.com has moved their focus away from freeware stuff recently, and how there needed to be a site to showcase their work, even if it was just a screenshot, simple description, and some download links. And so that’s just what he did.

As for feedback on how accurate his picks are… well, maybe we can get back with you on that. Although I have a couple of them sitting on my harddrive, I haven’t given them the time they deserve, and a few of them are new to me and are currently in my browsers download queue as I type this. But what have you got to lose? It’s free, you’ll be supporting awesome people, and it looks like he’s only just getting started.
So strap yourselves in for a fun ride on the freeware indie-coaster.
